Position Description

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical support to the organization. This position will maintain invoice processing, resolving accounts payable discrepancies, updating vendor records and field inquires.

Responsibilities

Duties Include

Essential Functions:

  • Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval before payment
  • Processes check requests
  • Reviews and processes credit card statements and receipts
  • Reviews and reconciles vendor statements and inquiries
  • Complies with company internal controls
  • Maintains files and documentation accurately per company policy and/or government regulation
  • Assists with projects and/or audits as required
  • Works with all management and company personnel as required to process documentation
  • Keeps the company’s information confidential
  • Assists in receptionist duties as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • One (1) to three (3) years prior experience working in an accounting or accounts payable department
  • Must be highly organized and have strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Superior spreadsheets skills and a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must
  • Previous experience with office procedures
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office
  • High school diploma
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required for employment, unless you qualify for an accommodation
  • Must be able to meet all physical requirements of the position
  • Pass all drug and alcohol screens as required by Company policy and, if applicable, required by DOT regulations
  • Be at least 18 years of age, or 21 if CDL is required
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

 Preferred:

  • Proficient in reading and understanding the Spanish language
  • Associates Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • Project Management Experience
