Position Description

The Superintendent - Industrial Electrical provides leadership on large projects, planning and installing of electrical and control systems in new or existing construction. This positions works on projects in Agriculture, Manufacturing, and Industrial facilities local and nationally. The Superintendent - Industrial Electrical responsibilities include helping to plan and design electrical systems based on the needs of each specific project. This position creates a schedule, lays out drawings, orders material, manages subcontractors, and leads the installation process. The Superintendent - Industrial Electrical oversees project compliance, start-up and commissioning activities to ensure the safety of the electrical system.

Duties Include

Essential Functions:

• Reports directly to the Area Manager
• Develops relationships with existing and potential new customers
• Maintains and manages change orders
• Maintains and manages project schedules
• Turns in timely and thorough daily logs and time sheets
• Coordinates with project management activities for material procurement and delivery, effective utilization of labor hours and overall project performance to meet/exceed quoted cost performance
• Effectively allocates existing workforce and coordinates securing additional staffing as required according to projects demand
• Ensures appropriate paperwork is submitted to Kennett office in a timely manner for each project
• Monitors job costs, coordinates billing activities and supports receivables collection as required
• Prepares and administers performance reviews for direct reports
• Actively participates in the estimating and planning process including creation of budget assumptions and strategy development
• Effectively represents Kelley/Townsend's core values and reputation in a positive, professional manner and ensure each crew does the same
• Ensures proper usage and maintenances of equipment and tools
• Ensures crews have the appropriate tools, equipment and training to safely and efficiently perform the required tasks for assigned projects
• Understands and complies/enforces all company policies and procedures
• Maintains open communication with appropriate Project Manager/Estimators and Kelley senior management
• Attends internal and external training courses which pertain to improving and developing job related business management, leadership, and operational skills

What You’ll Bring to the Team

• 10+ years leading and managing large projects
• Masters License
• Arkansas State license
• Must maintain a valid drivers license
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems and perform complex system tests
• Demonstrate an ability to problem solve
• Must have a willingness to learn
• Demonstrate a mechanical aptitude
• Must be able to follow instruction and guidance
• High school diploma
• Demonstrate a knowledge of National Electrical Code
• Ability to manage compliance issues (OSHA, MSHA, First Aid/CPR, PPE, random drug/alcohol screens, etc.)
• Must be able to meet all physical requirements of the position
• Pass all drug and alcohol screens as required by Company policy and, if applicable, required by DOT regulations
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
